This is a well designed and commodious café. Food is cooked in front of you in enormous cast iron pans and at the salad bar you can help yourself to a wide variety of excellent local foods. Uzsuk is a great place for families since it features special attractions as well to keep children amused.
The Balti Drambliai (White elephant) is said to be one of the few completely vegetarian restaurants in Vilnius. It seems to be popular among the younger crowds. It is located in brick cellars which date back to the 17th century. The indoor decoration is kept simple and consists of many Indian style ornaments. It also has a nice outdoor terrace in a backyard. The design of this place resembles an old medieval castle – the house where this bar/restaurant is situated was once used by local merchants’ long time ago, being the oldest cook shop of Vilnius, dating from the beginning of the 19th century.
